Seven Deadly Sins | Book Tag

Woohoo! Ok so I am such a book tag lover it’s not even funny! So I was excited to be tagged for this one by Destiny @ Howling Libraries (check her out!). I was able to track this one down to a video that is no longer live so unfortunately … I will not be able to link to the creator of this tag. Sorry!

GREED: What are your most expensive and inexpensive books?

Expensive

Strange the Dreamer by Laini TaylorStrange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor

This book is probably one of the most expensive book splurges on my shelf … mainly because I insisted on preordering the signed UK cover version and paid quite a bit more for overseas shipping. BUT LOOK AT IT!!! IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Inexpensive

My least expensive would be one of the many free Kindle books I own or ARCs provided my publishers or authors. I’m just choosing one at random here to highlight … how about …

the midnight sea by kat ross2

The Midnight Sea (The Fourth Element #1) by Kat Ross

Which was a free Kindle book at the time (actually as far as I know it still is) and I plan to read this one soon! I have actually seen some really good reviews.

SLOTH: What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

I don’t know if it’s laziness … or fear … or just having too many other things on my tbr right now but …

Heir of fire by sarah j maas

Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) by Sarah J. Maas

I read Crown of Midnight back in January and started on Heir of Fire before abandoning it for absolutely no reason about 20 pages in. The next thing I know … it’s June and I still haven’t picked it back up BUT I’M GOING TO! I actually have it planned for later this months … maybe. 😛

WRATH: Who is an author you have a love/hate relationship with?

Sarah J. Maas author of the Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses series

So far I have read 5 of her books and they have literally been LOVE or HATE … no in-betweens here! I hated Throne of Glass and yet Crown of Midnight owns a piece of my soul. I hated A Court of Thorns and Roses but loved A Court of Mist and Fury. Then back to hate on A Court of Wings and Ruin. It is a roller-coaster relationship with Maas for real!

GLUTTONY: What book have you devoured over and over with no shame?

Red Rising series by Pierce Brown

These books are some of my all-time favorites and have become somewhat like comfort food for me. The audiobooks specifically I have listened to portions of at least 10+ times a piece. I especially love to listen to this series whenever I am on an airplane. I don’t know why … but I just do. This series owns some major real estate in my soul!

LUST: What traits do you find attractive in fictional characters?

Physically attractive or personality wise? Physically … um well … muscles are nice 😛

But let’s face it … it’s the personality that really ropes me in! Dark brooding and dangerous is nice. I like broken characters. Though I tend to adore the funny/snarky/sarcastic characters even more! Mmmm sarcasm … the language of love. A sense of humor is a trait I find most attractive in fiction and in real life. If they are funny AND broken … well that’s just the best really. A few characters who really have this combo down would be …

Peter from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Janny Han

Ezra from The Illuminae Files series by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff

Captain Carswell Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Anthony Lockwood from Lockwood & Co. series by Jonathan Stroud

Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare … and basically every other Herondale ever to be honest. Though let’s face it I’m a major Jem fan as well!

PRIDE: What book do you talk about in order to sound like an intelligent reader?

Well … I read mostly YA fantasy fiction so I’m not sure I really have a book that makes me feel particularly studious. Maybe one of Shakespeare’s plays. I am partial to …

Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer night’s Dream by William Shakespeare

ENVY: What book would you most like to receive as a gift

I am NOT picky … if you want to buy me a book GO FOR IT! Though I would especially like a first edition of any Jane Austen novel … you know … as long as we’re dreaming!

I would settle for a copy of the 1894 Peacock Edition of Pride and Prejudice ❤ ❤ ❤

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Peacock edition

Tag?

Going to be lazy again … I tag anyone who wants to do this one! It is really a lot of fun and I am excited to see everyone’s answers to these questions!
