Monday is the day I get my life together … cleaning the house, grocery shopping, you know … all the boring adulting type things. So needless to say … I don’t get a lot of reading time in. Luckily I have a bit of an obsession with audiobooks which happen to be the perfect way to read and adult at the same time! So I have decided to start posting about my audio-reads on Mondays when I can.
So, what am I listening to this Monday?
Our Dark Duet (Monsters of Verity #2) by Victoria Schwab
Narrated by: Therese Plummer
Release Date: June 13, 2017
Duration: 10:32:00
(Goodreads Synopsis possible series spoilers): “THE WORLD IS BREAKING. AND SO ARE THEY.
KATE HARKER isn’t afraid of monsters. She hunts them. And she’s good at it.
AUGUST FLYNN once yearned to be human. He has a part to play. And he will play it, no matter the cost.
THE WAR HAS BEGUN.
THE MONSTERS ARE WINNING.
Kate will have to return to Verity. August will have to let her back in. And a new monster is waiting—one that feeds on chaos and brings out its victims’ inner demons.
Which will be harder to conquer: the monsters they face, or the monsters within?”
Thoughts
I started this audiobook yesterday and I AM HOOKED OMG! I just finished a re-read of This Savage Song a few days ago and fell in LOVE with the audio in this series. I also have this book as an e-book and might be switching back and forth between the formats, but today I am audio-ing it.
What are you reading today? I would love to hear your thoughts. Comment below!
Well, I’m currently reading a million books right now. lol. But I did finally start Mistborn and holy cow, it is awesome!

Audio books are this mom’s worst kept secret. I listen to them when I am driving, or running, or cleaning (laundry, eck).
I am wrapping up The Complete Collection of the Wizard of Oz right now, and plugging into Jane Eyre next. I think the format lends itself well to long, epic books especially

I agree with it lending itself well to long, epic books. I like to listen to my epic fantasies vs. sitting and reading and physical book. It’s just so much more enjoyable for some reason and I am somehow able to focus on it more. I think it might be that the names are strange words in epic fantasy tend to mess with my eyes which I don’t have to worry about with AB.
I will be honest though … I have a really hard time with classics like Jane Eyre in the AB format. I wish I could get the same focus on those but I just can’t.
Enjoy your read!
