July Outlook

July will be a Kindle Unlimited month for me so expect a lot of KU reads.

I will also be participating in a Throne of Glass series buddy read (continuing with Heir of Fire) with two of my favorite people and bloggers in the world Chelsea @ The Suspense is Thrilling Me (Check out her blog and most recent post!) and Solomon @ The Bookish King (check out his blog and most recent post!).

The Falling Kingdoms Fantasy League will be kicking off again with Gathering Darkness the first week of July.

I’ll be in Florida visiting family and enjoying the beach for the first week of this month, so I may be a little sporadic with my posting and with my reading but I will try to stay on track!

As always, I wish everyone a happy and enjoyable month!

How many books did you read this month? What was your favorite read? What are you looking forward to in the upcoming month?

I would love to hear about your month as well! Comment below!

I love how you set up your monthly wrap up! It’s so nice and tidy and easy on the eyes! Congrats on all the reading though! I read 13 books, which doesn’t feel like a lot to me but I suppose it’s a good amount. Next month, I’m going to try very hard to get through my TBR pile. I found an app, Overdrive, which has a ton of library books I can check out. That is my goal but knowing me, I will not stick to it. lol.

OVERDRIVE IS MY JAM!!!! Omg though … I swear it always tries to murder me. My holds always come through in bulk! Enjoy! It’s a lifesaver for sure! Keeps me from buying ALL THE BOOKS!

Ugh same … I feel like I got NOTHING done this month. 12 feels like slackerville for me. I am going to try SO hard to work through my GR currently reading list (which is at 16 books right now … insane I know). If I could clear that down to a manageable 5 or lower … it would be the accomplishment of the century!

I’m glad you like the format! This is my first monthly wrap-up so I was hoping it was going to be sufficient and aesthetically pleasing :).

I don’t even try to make TBRs anymore. I’m too much of a mood reader and not enough of a planner for that 😛

Hope your month was awesome and wishing you a super successful and bookishly pleasing July!

I already have a million books saved on my wishlist. At some point, I’ll just go ham and get a bunch of them because I’m impulsive like that.
You are reading 16 books at once?! Good gracious! lol. That is a lot! In a bit of a book slump or just everything sounded awesome? lol.
Thank you! I hope July is the month were I get everything under control but probably not. lol. Same you too, though! 😀

things sounded good or overdrive books begged to be read or I committed to buddy reads yadda yadda … I haven’t seen less than 10 on my CR in so long I can’t remember!

I’m really bad about getting excited and starting books on a whim.

      Thank you 🙂

There was a review going around where a lot of things seemed to be taken out of context and weirdly represented with Roar. I actually wrote a post about it … it was concerning the romance which I personally felt was one of the most healthy and real romances I have read in YA fantasy. The other reviewer had the opposite opinion.

And then of course, in the spirit of the power of suggestion, other people followed.

I read it before that review was posted so I was able to enjoy without any outside force altering my opinions. And actually … I wouldn’t alter my opinion even after reading said review because I still strongly disagree.

Other than that … it’s the only “weird” things I have heard and I strongly disagreed. But tis the spirit of opinions 🙂

It’s really a beautiful book but I always stress reading books without too much research or opinions in your mind beforehand.

I hope you enjoy it! It’s one of the coolest worlds I have read too!

YES! I would read her grocery list for goodness sake! She can certainly craft a story and her writing is perfection!

I hope you enjoy ADSOM! I love it so much! ACOL owns my soul ❤

Roar was my favorite too! Though a close second was The Wildling Sisters, by Eve Chase.

I think my greatest accomplishment though was listening through The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection (91 hours of audio). My daughter’s ballet recital was based off of The Wizard of Oz so of course I just had to read the book, and having read the book I just had to read all the books…

I still need to read the Oz collection! Wow 91 hours! Great job! AND OMG THE RECITAL SOUNDS ADORIBLE! My daughter’s last recital was based off fairy tales, she was in The Little Mermaid 🙂

Roar was great wasn’t it?! I can’t wait for book 2 though! So many questions I need answers for NOW!

The Wildling Sisters … I’ve never heard of it *looks it up on GR* *adds to TBR*

I thought Nova was my favorite most underrated character! I can’t wait to see what Cora does with her in the future books. I don’t see the attraction to Cassius tbh though.

I think WS is still available on NetGalley if you don’t want to wait! I shamelessly read it over two days
