Monday is the day I get my life together … cleaning the house, grocery shopping, you know … all the boring adulting type things. So needless to say … I don’t get a lot of reading time in. Luckily I have a bit of an obsession with audiobooks which happen to be the perfect way to read and adult at the same time! This is where I post about my audio-reads on Mondays when I can.
This Monday however, I will actually be heading back home from a week-long vacation in Florida (sigh … goodbye beautiful beaches … I will miss you!). So I will be spending at least 8 hours in the car and what better way to pass the time than audiobooks!
So, what am I listening to this Monday?
Technically … I’ll be starting my Monday off by listening to the conclusion of Our Dark Duet (Monsters of Verity #2) by Victoria Schwab.
But I only have a few hours of that one left and more hours of driving so I will be following it with none other than …

Hello, my name is Frankie and I am LUNAR CHRONICLES TRASH!
I actually already read this book back in November 2016 which makes this both my Audiobook Monday and my Monthly Re-read (because I’m lazy … or resourceful … which ever way you choose to see it).
This book is comfort food for the soul and I love living it over and over again.
This Audiobook is also in my top 5 favorite audiobook series/books. The narration is on point!
This book (both the physical copy and the audiobook) get a 5/5 star rating from me!
*mild series spoilers*
And Cress is my absolute favorite of the series. Three words: Captain Carswell Thorne! Yeah I have a totally unhealthy obsession with Thorne and Cress. I mean this OTP is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am leaving at the end of the week for a trip to New Orleans with a pit stop to see my brother who lives by the Gulf of Mexico! We’re in the middle of the country so I am looking forward to seeing the ocean.
But needless to say that after I wrap up ole’ Rebecca here (so. creepy.) I am starting on A Confederacy of Dunces which is famously set in the Big Easy to get in the mood. It’s been sitting in my Audible library for years now courtesy of a sale, so I figured it is the perfect time to check it off the TBR!

I’m reading Siege and Storm today and finished off Caraval this morning! I’m currently on Scarlet of the Lunar Chronicles but I won’t be getting back to that for a while 😂

Scarlet is when TLC really started to become an obsession! I didn’t care much for Cress but the rest of the series is GOLD!

Honestly, I’m not enjoying it. I’m almost to pg 130 of Siege and Storm and I am not enjoying it 😞 I’m excited to get back into Scarlet but I have so many books I need to read this month 😂

It sounds to me like you have backed yourself into a pressure point. I never enjoy books when I feel pressured to read them 😦
I hope you find a way to push through if you don’t have the option of switching gears.
I abandoned my TBR completely this month because I was craving romantic contemporaries instead. But I know this isn’t always an option.

I don’t really think it’s even me being pressured. When I tried picking up but last time I tried reading it, I had the same issue. I just am not connecting with it. I love Nikolai though. He’s making it better 😂

I’m going to continue with the story and see. I’m mainly reading it to get a feel for the Grisha universe before I crack into Six of Crows.
