What is the Liebster Award?
“Liebster” is a German word meaning beloved, dearest, sweetheart, or darling.
For bloggers, the Liebster Award is an online recognition given by other bloggers to new bloggers for enjoying or appreciating their work. It highlights up and coming blogs.
Once nominated, a blogger is asked to answer 11 questions provided by the nominating blogger. They are then expected to nominate 11 other favorite new bloggers and come up with a list of 11 new questions for those nominees.
The Rules:
- Acknowledge the blog who nominated you and display the award.
- Answer the 11 questions the blogger gives you.
- Nominate 11 blogs.
- Notify those blogs of the nomination.
- Give them 11 questions to answer.
1 – Do you consider yourself an artist in any way when it comes to music, art, crafts, or hobbies?
I absolutely consider myself to be an artist.
My heartbeat thrums with the vibration of violin strings – the beating of drums, my pulse. pushing color and pigment though my veins, painting a portrait inside my soul. My memories are a collection of tattered photographs, shades and shadows tempered, emulsion gently faded by time, but still as beautiful as ever. Dreams weaving like thread between them, creating tapestries of fantastical imaginings just waiting for my breath to speak their stories into existence – to press graphite to page and write their tale.
I am an artist in all the ways.
2- What’s your favorite type of music or your favorite band?
Music is a part of my soul. I love music in general. I do tend to be drawn toward a more moody emotional type of music … but I can’t say that I have a specific “type” or a favorite band. Lately I have been obsessing over Crywolf. So the whole indie electronic thing is really doing it for me lately 🙂
3- What’s your favorite thing to do?
Wow. This is a very generalized question. I supposed the answer would be “it depends”. There are a lot of extenuating circumstances. A few activities that come to mind though are reading, swimming, boating … basically anything that has sun, sand, and water involved.
4- Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Ok seriously this question always trips me up! I don’t really like to talk about myself and when I do it is hardly complimentary. Um … I personally don’t find myself to be particularly interesting … I am a 30 (cringe) year old mother of a 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, and 1 8-year old human child. I am a photographer in talent and skill only, meaning I don’t do it professionally. I love to write and am currently working on 2 YA series though I have little to show for either.
Does any of that count for interesting? Meh
5- Does blogging ever stress you out?
At some point … everything stresses me out. So … yes lol
6- Do you like to cook?
Nope …
7- What’s your favorite reading genre?
Young Adult Fantasy is my favorite including sci-fi. I read a little bit of everything though.
8- Are you on Goodreads?

9- Do you like where you live?
Almost 1 year ago I moved away from my beautiful Florida beaches so … it is hard not to feel a little bitter at being no less than 8 hours away from the ocean now. I so have the mountains on the horizon though so yes … where I live now is a nice place to live and I enjoy it (but I still miss my beach-girl lifestyle! Like so much it hurts!)
10- What kinds of foods do you like to eat?
ALL THE FOOD! Ok but seriously I love food … and I don’t dislike many foods. Sushi and fried shrimp and baked potatoes are three of my favorites though 🙂

11- What’s your favorite season?
SUMMER! Again … beaches and sun and sand and bathing suits and cool drinks and heat ❤

You’re so sweet! I have been traveling on vacation this past week so I do miss reading my blogs (I guess it’s a good problem!). My answers to the questions have been rolling around my head so I too will probably take my time getting this up lol. I also have a difficult time with the question “Tell me something interesting about yourself!” though I do find that the way a person replies can say a lot about who they are and what they value.
